Our Story

Red Rufus began in 2010, so after more that 10 years of designing and making Christina is sewing expert, producing quality handmade soft toys time and time again.

Rufus, the Irish Setter, became our puppy at the end of 2008 and Christina was inspired by him to make something for her children from Rufus for Christmas. Three SockDogs followed....

These days, Rufus is an old, but very dignified, dog and the children are now adults!

Red Rufus now supplies a number of shops through out Ireland and the US as well as directly from our website.

All our products are CE tested and use the highest standard of materials. Our soft toy faces are appealing to children, with their big eyes and soft velvet noses. Red Rufus' are meant for imaginative and creative play, but also to bring comfort and joy.
